Between September 2021 and February 2022 we completed a large-scale project that included all business areas: line workers, production leaders and office staff. Overall, over 300 people divided into 26 groups participated in the project. Participant groups reflected diversity in terms of nationality as they included people from Poland, Ukraine, Russia and Belarus. The project assumed working on the organizational culture and discussing and implementing mobbing prevention policy. Another equally important need of the company was to build awareness of mobbing and discrimination. Training was conducted onsite at the customer location, with consideration of shift work.
Training lasted 3 hours, with a strong focus on mobbing and discrimination. We noticed that the employees presented a very different level of knowledge, beliefs and awareness of these issues, therefore it was necessary to discuss them in a legal, psychological and psychosocial context. The main aspect of this training was to equip the participants with skills enabling every single employee to counteract mobbing at work. Discrimination was discussed in terms of diversity.
Due to the nature of the subject of this training, we decided to conduct it in various forms – lecture, workshop, case study analysis and discussion, depending on the subject.
Employees improved their mobbing awareness as well as their ability to deal with and react not only to mobbing but also to all situations that can lead to it – conflicts, abuse or unequal treatment.
Another outcome of this training, very important for the organization and its employees, was initiating a discussion about what mobbing is and which internal tools can help people deal with this problem. This project also successfully enhanced the internal anti-mobbing policy, allowing employees to better understand how it really works. Our training had a positive impact on the atmosphere and level of cooperation in the company.
