Whether we want it or not - everyone is affected by change in the organization. Change forces us to modify our habits, learn new things, build new relationships; it often requires a new overall perspective. The bigger the change, the bigger the “domino” effect it causes.

A lot has been written about the “killer of change” and indeed, there are many factors that can contribute to failure. The most frequent and real reason is the lack of understanding of the individual nature of change as well as the lack of patience and consequence during the implementation process. For the past several years we’ve been hearing that we “live in a permanent change”, described recently by the VUCA acronym meaning that one unfinished change starts another. Current political and economic situation in the world increases the volatility in terms of a disrupted sense of security. That’s why one should perceive change as challenge and opportunity that managers and employees have to face.
Main goal of this course is to increase openness to change and to develop the ability to embrace it. What else?
It is worth taking a closer look at change to become aware of your own reactions, fears, hopes but to also see how change affects the organization and its employees, goals they are trying to achieve or their personal growth. Understanding the nature of change will make its implementation easier but it may also help you minimize mistakes along the way, stay calm, and most of all, simply wait out the difficulties associated with change. If we don’t give up, change might turn out to be our advantage.
