API is a method of administrative and service processes mapping, a practical workshop that allows you to analyze the information and document flow. Similar to the production process mapping, this method is divided into two phases of work – design a current state map and plan a future state.
Main goal of this workshop is to visualize the flows in the current business processes using the Makigami method (“role of paper” in Japanese), estimate time needed to complete individual operations, related documents or systems and identify process inefficiency and waste. Using team synergy, a target state map is created, as well as an action plan necessary during the change process.
