Giving feedback is a powerful tool for managers – it affects not only employee discipline and goal accomplishment, but it also has a motivational and professional development value, which in turn adds to building relationships, employee commitment and increased satisfaction from your employees’ performance.

Giving feedback

For whom?

Speaking from our experience, we notice that feedback isn’t popular in many companies due to the managers’ belief, that giving feedback is pointless (“if I don’t say anything, it means employees work well”, “too much praise can be harmful”) or fear of being perceived as “fake”. During our “How to give proper feedback” course we try to change this attitude and make the participants appreciate the power of feedback and its importance when it comes to building employees’ motivation, so that the money invested in training could be of real benefit to the company. We find this very important, especially considering the generation change. After all, one of the needs of generation Z entering the job market is continuous feedback. The sooner an organization implements this new habit, the better the chances to gain advantage in the difficult employee market.

For whom?

Main goals of “How to give proper feedback” course:

  • Learn/refresh structure of feedback;
  • Become aware of the role of facts and how they should be interpreted when judging behaviours and work, as well as their influence on motivation and employee growth;
  • Become aware of the supporting role and corrective feedback and their influence on employee motivation when striving to accomplish set goals;
  • Increase awareness of using proper feedback in management, building commitment and work satisfaction;
  • Develop a plan of action - how to implement feedback habit in the workplace;
  • Learn how feedback really works and its importance as a motivational tool.

“How to give proper feedback” course is a hands-on training, and we focus on practicing the actual feedback habits.
