Management by Objectives (MBO) is one of the most modern and effective management techniques. It is a process where the ambitious and correlated goals of the organization are precisely defined and conveyed by the management to the members of the organization with the intention to achieve each objective. The main difference between MBO and the traditional task management is that MBO clearly defines the end result without actually pointing out what needs to be done to achieve the goal. This technique gives the managers and the employees significant freedom, stimulates their activity, creativity and commitment, increasing expectations from them at the same time.
