Organizational values

Organizational culture defines the norms and behavioral patterns (both verbal and non-verbal), in line with the company’s values, that should be followed by the employees on a daily basis. This approach makes the company stand out from the competition – it is these elements of culture that determine the uniqueness of the company in the eyes of the customers and co-workers.

The uniqueness is determined by 4 crucial values that precisely describe the core ethics or principles which the employees will abide by throughout the entire time of the company’s existence. These values also explain how the employees join forces to go through difficult times together.

Daily habitual actions of the employees often prevent them from actually living their business values, therefore posing a risk of blurring or losing the best practices that allow the business to achieve further success.

For whom?

Working on developing and reinforcing such an important element of the organizational culture as values requires engaging management staff of all levels. Our workshop concept is based on building this engagement through selecting the “ambassadors of value” – people who are important to the employees (i.e. members of the board) and who will represent specific values (before the workshop), building a commitment to values and the way they are understood, defining projects that can enhance the purpose of values in the organization (during the workshop) and their successful implementation.

For whom?

A constructive approach to values means they treated as non-negotiable, with a full understanding of the reasoning behind this, and we focus on passing information about the values in the most practical and useful way. During the workshops:

  • Explain the definition of individual values;
  • Embody values in behaviors;
  • Develop a list of behaviors and attitudes for each value;
  • Develop an implementation plan and appoint people responsible for the specific stages of the implementation;
  • Define what role should the values serve in shaping employee behavior;
  • Develop behaviors that correspond with the individual values that define the organization;
  • Tentatively develop a method of implementing a catalog of behaviors in the organization;
  • Discussion about the ways of enforcing a catalog of behaviors in the specific operational functions;
  • Improved awareness of the impact of your own attitude on the culture of the organization.
