Are you in the process of making a decision to gather a group of employees – internal trainers, and prepare them for the job? Do you want to equip them with the skills necessary to conduct trainings and, as a result, improve the competencies of other employees and increase the company’s effectiveness?
A big part of the workshop is focused on simulating trainings prepared by the participants. Every participant will conduct a part of the training based on his/her knowledge, skills and activities from previous training sessions or personal experience. As a result, participants will be better prepared to effectively conduct trainings and cope with difficult situations. What else?
Our training experience, Train the Trainers projects and running the Integra School of Business Trainers prove that substantive knowledge of a trainer in terms of products, services or processes is a necessary, but not sufficient condition to teach the participants how to practically apply it in the workplace. One also needs trainer’s workshop and his/her ability to develop an attitude conducive to effective collaboration with a group.
Trainers/employees have a thorough knowledge of the organization which makes their trainings tailor-made, without any redundant or irrelevant information. There is only one “but”, namely not every specialist or expert actually knows how to teach. They don’t know which methods are the most effective, have a hard time judging how much of their knowledge can be passed on at once, how to reach every participant, how to handle difficult situations. Therefore, throwing employees in the deep end by asking them to conduct trainings without proper preparation may, and often will, lead to a total disaster – not only will the trainer/employee get discouraged from this type of work but also the participants will be discouraged from trainings in general.
